The first Annual Meeting of WiLiMan-ID consortium was hosted from May 22nd to 24th at Copenhagen University’s Department of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, with much of the meeting spent in a beautiful auditorium with thematically highly fitting murals and aesthetics. During the course of two tightly-packed days, participants updated each other, presented new research approaches, and discussed their collaborative efforts. Key focus was on discussing progress made on detecting, modelling and combatting dangerous animal diseases: Avian influenca, West Nile Virus, African Horse Sickness, African Swine Fever and Chronic Wasting Disease.
Following a screening of the WiliMan-ID video, participants shared their plans and efforts for the second year of the project.
